Legal Counsel

Tom Fahey reports that new Speaker of the House Doug Scamman was bringing on Patrick E. Donovan (R, Windham) to act as part time legal counsel to the House.

"Donovan, a Dartmouth grad with a law degree from Boston College, is a partner in the Hatem & Donovan firm in Salem. He’s a former assistant attorney general who worked in the civil and criminal bureau, including as a senior assistant AG in the homicide unit."

"It’s also worth a note that his partner is Michael Hatem, who represented the Democrats and then Minority Leader Peter Burling of Cornish in two redistricting cases that were fought in 2002 and 2003."
