Kevin Landrigan of the Nashua Telegraph reports
that former State Senator and one time Gubernatorial candidate Bruce
Keough "took a major step towards a second bid for governor this week,
filing his political action committee known as the Keough Leadership
Committee Political Action Committee."
Landrigan writes that "For Keough, the move is deja vu to his run in 2002...At that time, Keough set up a PAC that allowed him to raise more than $300,000 in early stake money from some genuine Republican heavyweights."
"The amount of money he raised caught both his primary opponents, Craig Benson and Gordon Humphrey, by surprise."
Key Democrats tell NH Insider that they believe the move to be foolish, saying for the first time in a long while there is a real shot at solving education funding something which will be credited to Gov. Lynch.
According to Landrigan Democratic Sen. Peter Burling accused Keough
last week of "political posturing" in regards to Keough's comments on
Gov. Lynch's management style.
