A draft movement for Secretary of State Condi Rice, Americans for Rice, aired prime time advertising this week on ABC's new political series "Commander in Chief." Unlike when ads were announced for another potential female Presidential candidate the press was silent this time around.
In August Bob Kunst arrived in New Hampshire to promote an ad that his organization Hillary Now! was releasing. It recieved coverage from all of New Hampshire's major media, including The Associated Press, The Union Leader, Concord Monitor and Portsmouth Herald. Hardly a mention for Condi though.
One Republican activists told NH Insider that "When Kunst arrived in New Hampshire to spend $260 for ads to be aired in the middle of the night there were all sorts of stories, but when those backing Condi buy a prime time ad on the nights most popular show there is hardly a mention."
