CONCORD – Jack Kimball, Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party today released the following statement after the Senate passed its version of the state budget.
“Congratulations to the Republican controlled House and Senate for their hard work in putting forth responsible revenue and expense estimates and working to solve the budget crisis in Concord. The result is a budget that doesn’t raise taxes or fees and eliminates 150 million dollars in cost downshifting that Governor Lynch proposed in his budget. The heat is now on Governor Lynch to see if he will keep a promise, made to the taxpayers on May 3rd, to resolve an anticipated 50 million dollar revenue shortfall caused by prior unrealistic revenue projections under his Administration. Voters deserve to see their Governor solve this problem without any of the typical gimmicks used in the past two budgets.”
