Concord, NH - Today, it was announced that Mike Brunelle will leave New Hampshire later this month to lead one of Pennsylvania's largest unions, the Pennsylvania Service Employees International Union.

Brunelle, of Manchester, will step down as Executive Director of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, and as Chair of the Manchester City Democrats.

"While this is loss for New Hampshire, it is a great gain for Pennsylvania. We are all very proud of Mike's appointment to his new position and tremendous advancement of his career.  I knew it was only a matter of time before Mike's extraordinary talents would be recognized across the country. While we are saddened over losing him, we have full confidence that this position will provide him a great opportunity to further expand his ability to improve the lives of working families. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Mike's leadership, skills, and friendship over the past eight years," announced Ray Buckley, chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

"The House Democratic Caucus extends its wholehearted thanks for Mike's hard work, leadership, and dedication throughout the years. He has been a strong advocate for the Democratic caucus, the voters of Manchester and Democrats across the state, and we are grateful for his service" said House Democratic Leader Terie Norelli.
