NHGOP CHAIR ON LYNCH DECISION TO REPLACE TWO MEMBERS OF THE ADULT PAROLE BOARD
CONCORD- Jack Kimball, Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party released the following statement regarding Gov. John Lynch’s decision to replace two members of the Adult Parole Board who were outspoken about a flaw in the SB500 law that permitted the early release of sexual and violent offenders.
“Former Speaker of the House Donna Sytek and former Commissioner of Safety Richard Flynn are qualified candidates for the Adult Parole Board. John Lynch chose to put politics above public safety by supporting a seriously flawed law which let felons out of jail early. Once he realized it was a horrible mistake, he dismissed the two people who pointed out this critical error instead of doing the honorable thing and owning up to it. Thanks to the Republican majority in the legislature, the law has been changed and the felons will stay in jail where they belong. Now, the only early release in this state should be John Lynch’s departure from the governor’s office.”
