Reductions in State Aid to Cities and Towns

Reductions in State Aid to Cities and Towns in the FY 2010-2011 biennial operating budget :

FY10-11 Biennium

Suspension of Revenue Sharing Payments to Cities and Towns     $50.4M

Decrease in State Share of Municipal Normal Contribution           $27.7M

Cap of Meals and Rooms Tax payments to FY 2009 rate               $5.0M

Education Catastrophic Aid (Chapter 1 of 2010 Special Session)  $7.9M

Tuition and Transportation Aid (Chapter 1 of 2010 Special Session) $0.6M

Dropout Prevention, Statewide Special Education, and Local Education Improvement (Chapter 1 of 2010 Special Session)                                                                             $0.2M

 

Total FY 2010-2011 Biennium                                                        $91.8M
