A Sign of Wasteful Spending

This week's winning item, championed by Rep. Aaron Schock of Illinois, would prohibit the funding of promotional signage for stimulus projects, saving the taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.

Just a few weeks ago, this idea was suggested by an individual in the YouCut community. Now, the idea has been brought to the House floor for an up-or-down vote and you can see where your representatives stand.

The bright green signs simply don't do anything to spur job creation or economic growth of any kind. They are emblematic of the Washington culture of wasteful spending that the YouCut program is designed to defeat. Every time you see one of those stimulus signs, you should think of the massive debt being passed on to future generations.

As one YouCut voter wrote, "It's bad enough that they wasted my kids' money on the stimulus, but now they are wasting even more of my kids' money to brag about it."

Click here to cast your vote on the next five YouCut proposals. All of this week's items were suggested by the public – House Republicans are listening and we are bringing your voice to the House floor.

Regards,

Eric Cantor
House Republican Whip

Guess how Paul Hodes and Carol Shea-Porter voted on this proposal to eliminate the spending on signage? You got, it they voted NO to eliminating this unnecessary spending!

Why can't politicians just represent the people without being influenced? Here's a resource if you need a new roof in NH. http://www.seacoastroofingnh.com It's entitled "9 Things You Must Know Before Getting Your Roof Done in NH." Enjoy it... even you politicians. Raise your standards.
