Bettencourt statement: CACR 5 Line Item Veto Consitutional Amendment

The following statement was issued today following the vote on  CACR 5 ,  the line item veto consitutional amendment. 

 

“House leadership supports the idea of a line-item veto because it would serve as a vital tool in our system of checks and balances and would help future governors keep spending under control. "
