NH House Speaker Statement on Poor Management by Lynch Administration
Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 05:39PM CONCORD – House Speaker William O’Brien today reacted to the closure of the state Department of Health and Human Services building on Hazen Drive in Concord. The building houses the state’s Division of Public Health, which responds to public health threats, inquiries, and other emerging health issues in New Hampshire. The Public Health Labs, contained in the Division of Public Health, is the state’s entity in dealing with emergency matters of disease outbreaks, newly developing diseases, product contamination and/or tampering, and terrorism response.
House Speaker William O’Brien
“There should be outrage at the Governor’s shoddy management practices that would allow a building to get so cold that an entire fish bowl was frozen solid. It is even more concerning that this wasn’t just any building but the one that houses our state’s public health division and the laboratories tasked with dealing with emergency public health matters like sudden disease outbreaks and biological terrorism attacks. If we were to have a situation in which there was a potentially communicable disease, our public health lab is closed indeterminately with no way to handle such an emergent crisis.”
House Majority Leader D.J. Bettencourt
“New Hampshire deserves a Governor who is attentive to its needs and is competent in administering and protecting its assets. Let’s hope one surfaces in the next election.”

I know I know,it was voter fraud ,right!haha you libs are hilarious.
The point I was trying to make is most people in NH are more socially liberal than our representation would suggest. WMUR ran polls last year and the results are very revealing.
"The poll found that 62 percent of residents oppose a repeal of New Hampshire’s same-sex marriage law, while only 29 percent support a repeal and 9 percent are neutral."
"The poll indicates that 43 percent of residents think abortion should be legal in all circumstances, and 45 percent think it should be legal in limited circumstances, such as in cases of rape or incest. Only 9 percent think abortion should be illegal in all circumstances, while 3 percent are unsure. Most Republicans (55 percent) think abortion should be legal in limited circumstances; most Democrats (62 percent) think it should always be legal."

So, when our feckless Speaker pushes legislation like HB 437 DESPITE the fact that 2/3 of those polled are against repeal, then he is specifically targetting one minority group of voters, religious kooks. That's what I mean when I say the rabid right. While all rabid rights are conseratives, not all conservatives are rabid. You should learn to tell the difference.
That the rabid right may bight Nanny on her BFA, thereby infecting her and resulting in her demise so that the rest of us can be left alone to do as we please.
Now that's a fairytale with a happy ending.

That's twice now you have called me little man depite the fact that you have never met me. I understand that you feel some need to put me down to make yourself feel bigger and more important. That's okay. I'm confident enough in myself to not care so if it makes you feel better, you go on with your bad self. It doesn't make what I post any less true.
