Obama is a Victim and It's Bush's Fault!

Obama The Victim

Obama is victim of Bush's failed promises.. By a democrat reporter!!!!

I think it is time that we asked George Bush to step aside so that Obama can get his presidency going.

Here's an opinion piece by Chuck Green who writes "Greener Pastures" for the Denver Post Aurora Sentinel... one of the more liberal papers in the country. Additionally, Mr. Green is a lifelong Democrat... so this is rather a stunning piece...

########

Obama is victim of Bush's failed promises!

Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first term in office:

Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever.

Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever!

Wow! Talk about change.

Just over two years ago, fresh from his inauguration celebrations, President Obama was flying high. After one of the nation's most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America 's first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions. To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.

Of course, they don't see it as self-imposed. It's all George Bush's fault !

George Bush, who doesn't have a vote in congress and who no longer occupies The White House, is to blame for it all.

He broke Obama's promise, to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama's promise, to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama's promise, to end earmarks.

He broke Obama's promise, to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama's promise, to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama's promise, to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America 's most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

He broke Obama's promise, to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama's promise, to end no-compete contracts with the government.

He broke Obama's promise, to disclose the names of all attendees at closed
White House meetings.

He broke Obama's promise, for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

He broke Obama's promise, to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter.

Yes, it's all George Bush's fault! President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending failed Bush administration.

If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, all of President Obama's problems would be solved. His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel . North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.

Oh, and did I mention what it would be like, if the Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn't have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks? There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).

If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, we'd have real change by now.

All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama's fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress. It's all George Bush's fault!

Take for example the attempt of Eric Holder, the president's attorney general, to hold terrorists' trials in New York City . Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.

Two disastrous decisions.

Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush!

Need more proof?

You might recall when Scott Brown won the election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, capturing "The Ted Kennedy Seat", President Obama said, Brown's victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008. People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years. And they wanted change.

Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts , was George Bush's fault.

Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats. It is all George Bush's fault ! Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for hope and and change ever arrive???

Will President Obama ever accept responsibility for something/anything?

NH GOP - "Super PAC Alert" For Carol: Will Shea-Porter Denounce Super PAC?

SHOT: Shea-Porter on 1/26: “Super PACs and their very wealthy donors are drowning out the voices of the small-dollar donors. . . . Is there anything we can do to stop it in the general election this year?”

CHASER: Shea-Porter Lands Backing of Major “Liberal Super-PAC”

A “SUPER PAC ALERT” FOR CAROL: WILL SHEA-PORTER DENOUNCE SUPER PAC?

Shea-Porter’s Hypocrisy Proves She’s Only Looking Out For Herself

Concord, NH – Former Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter has added a new layer to her financial hypocrisy.  After breaking a pledge in 2009 saying she wouldn’t take money from lobbyists, she has now landed the backing of a deep-pocketed liberal Super PAC just days after she pleaded with voters asking, “Is there anything we can do to stop [Super PACs] in the general election this year?”

“A new liberal super-PAC called Credo has announced its first six targets of the 2012 campaign. . . . [including] Frank Guinta (N.H.).” (Cameron Joseph, “Liberal Super-PAC Picks Its First Six House Targets,” The Hill, 1/30/2012)

“Carol Shea-Porter talks a good game about standing up for the middle-class, but when it comes down to it she ignored her commitment not to take money from lobbyists and now she finds herself a beneficiary of an organization that she believes is ‘drowning out the voices of the small-dollar donors,’” said New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald.  “Rather than taking the high road, Carol Shea-Porter seems to be willing to toss aside principle and opt for whatever path best suits her political career.”

“Democrats have now answered with some Super PACs of their own. What we saw in 2010 was just a teaser to what we will endure this year. Super PACs and their very wealthy donors are drowning out the voices of the small-dollar donors. . . . Is there anything we can do to stop it in the general election this year?” (Carol Shea-Porter, “Super PAC Alert,” Merrimack Patch, 1/26/2012)

NHDP Statement from Chair Ray Buckley on the SOTU

Concord - New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair, Ray Buckley, released the following statement on President Obama's State of the Union address.

"Tonight President Obama delivered a forceful, impassioned State of the Union Address that outlined his blueprint for an American economy built to last - an economy built on American manufacturing, American energy, skills for American workers, and a renewal of American values.

"We have a clear and distinct choice facing us as a state and a country.  The fundamental American promise - that if you work hard you can do well enough to raise a family, own a home, and one day retire - hangs in the balance.  To get there we must, as the President argued this evening, repair the economic security of the middle class which has been eroding for decades. No longer should New Hampshire's working families, both those in the middle class and those striving to get there, be forced to pay a higher tax rate than multimillionaires like Mitt Romney.

"Over the next few months, Granite Staters have a critical choice to make with so much at stake for the future of the middle class. While the President outlined an agenda tonight that will strengthen the middle class, Republicans in the State House, in Congress and competing for the presidential nomination remain focused on pushing an out of touch social agenda and advocating policies that will benefit the top 1% at the expense of everyone else.

"I sincerely hope that Senator Ayotte, Congressman Bass, and Congressman Guinta will put partisanship aside and work with President Obama to support job creation and sustainable economic growth."

NHGOP Response to What Voters Hope is Obama's Last SOTU Address

"Tonight, New Hampshire voters heard another lofty speech filled with promises to boost job creation and rebuild our economy, but this is the same empty rhetoric they've heard year after year.  President Obama simply doesn't realize that his commitment falls short because his so-called 'accomplishments' are the problem.  ObamaCare, reckless spending and job-destroying regulations are hurting small business owners and drowning out the free market with more government.

"Despite these promises, the unfortunate reality is that the national unemployment rate is significantly higher today than it was when he took office.  Too many New Hampshire workers either can't find a job or are under-employed.

"As we look ahead to 2012, the President's broken promises on the economy and his record of more spending, more debt and more taxes will prove to be a liability for Democrats running for office across our state."

News Alert: C-SPAN Coverage Controversy Heats Up

Reid and Boehner Go Head-to-Head

By Justin Williams

January 6th, 2010, Fairfax, VAHouse Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) has "strongly endors[ed]" a request by C-SPAN to televise House-Senate health care negotiations, saying House Republicans unanimously support the television network's proposal.

In a letter dated December 30th to Congress, C-SPAN Chairman and CEO Brian P. Lamb asked "that [Congress] opens all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings, to electronic media coverage."

Democrats have denied the request, and Jim Manley, the spokesman for the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said "The drafting of this health insurance reform bill has set new standards for transparency."

Manley called the Republicans' endorsement a "shameless… strategy to stop reform at all costs by relying on misinformation and myths." Boehner today said that "skipping a real, open conference committee would shut out the American people and break one of President Obama's signature campaign promises."

In 2008, during the presidential campaign, then-candidate Barack Obama promised to make health care talks transparent: "That's what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN."

Obama has also pledged that he would make "meetings where laws will be written … more open to the public" including a pledge "not [to] sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days."

Fueling the controversy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "threw a rare rhetorical elbow" at Obama when a reporter asked her feelings on Obama's campaign promise and Congress' action. Pelosi stated, "There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail," as reported by Politico.

So far, the House and Senate have passed their own versions of the health care bill and now, once again, are meeting behind closed doors to hash out the differences.

Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson stated today that "This bill is so unpopular that this is actually the eighth version presented to the American people, which does not inspire confidence at all."

Wilson said the eight versions of what he dubbed "ObamaCare" were: 1-3) three House committee versions; 4) HR 3200, the House passed version of "public option"; 5) Baucus co-ops, the Senate Finance Committee version; 6) the Senate "public option," which Senator Joe Lieberman and other lawmakers objected to; 7) the Reid substitute that the Senate passed, and 8) the current House-Senate version that Congressional Democrats are now meeting on to discuss.

According to the latest Rasmussen Reports poll, 52 percent of Americans currently oppose the bill.  At least 50 percent have opposed the bill since September 14th, with support never rising above 47 percent since then. Currently, only 42 percent support the bill.

"Barack Obama promised to bring all parties to the table," Wilson said, adding, "Instead, it's just one party, the Democrat Party, at the table.  Not a single Republican has voted on the floor of either chamber for these 'compromises,' and throughout the process Republicans have repeatedly said they have been shut out."

"That's not transparency," Wilson said, concluding, "it's a sham."
