Carol Shea-Porter Defeats Bradley in First Debate

In a repeat of 2006 Carol Shea-Porter easily beat Jeb Bradley in today’s AARP debate.

Bradley’s defeat actually started before Scott Spradling even welcomed the candidates to the stage. Shea-Porters grass-root troops were out in force, while very few people came out to support Bradley.

When the debate began it was obvious that nothing was going to steer Jeb Bradley away from his talking points. This was his undoing two years ago.

Shea-Porter has always had a way to cut through Jebs view of the world in a way that anybody can relate too.

I thought Bradley started strong today, but when Shea-Porter dismantled his arguments he had nothing to fall back on.

If today was any indication, the WMUR debates will be a long evening for Jeb and the Republicans who are still supporting him.

Amongst Jebs supporters, Representative Al Baldasaro deserves mention. Bradley acknowledged him from the podium today and spent much of primary day at Baldasero’s side in Londonderry. Baldasaro represents the extreme right wing of the NH Republican Party organization.

He likse to sport Osama / Obama buttons. That tells you everything you need to know about his tone. Jeb’s coziness with Baldasero speaks volumes.
