Lap Dogs and Mad Dogs

Check out how the press handles the story of a convicted murderer who just waltzed away from a halfway house while on his way to an AA meeting.

Convicted murderer, Francis Gay, who back in 1988 beat a wheelchair bound man so badly his family had a closed casket funeral, was relaxing in a halfway house in Concord waiting for release from prison when he went on a walkabout.

Finally, on May 11, the Concord Monitor (You know the paper in the town where the MURDERER ESCAPED) mentions the guy is a killer.

Remember the three inmates who escaped when Craig Benson was governor? It was a whole different story back then.

NH Murderer and Two Others Flee
June 5, 2003, Thursday
(AP); National Desk
Convicted murderer Kevin Gil and two other inmates, Philip J Dick and Christopher McNeil, escape from Concord, NH, prison; prison is locked down and police officers go door to door through nearby neighborhood; state police and National Guard helicopters join search; authorities believe inmates had outside help.

Back when Craig Benson was governor and a murderer escaped we had news stories with questions about the inmates, the prison, overcrowding, funding, the ability of the prison administrators, etc. Not any more.

All’s perfect in NH now.
