The Devil Is In The Details Of Change

These are some of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”. If you are a conservative and know what America is in for with a far left socialist/Marxist team of Democrats in power this set of rules may be for you.

This is the set of rules, along with structural feminism, and Black Liberation Theology, Obama lives by. You should understand and use them yourself. These techniques are designed for those out of power who want their opponents off balance and constantly on the defense.

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do. (The media and pollsters cover number one for Obama. To believe them is to believe everyone is an Obama supporter. It has taken years but now in 2008 most people know both the media and pollsters are biased.)

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat. (Obama’s talking points are very limited and have almost no specifics. Supporters repeat his limited offerings religiously. Always confront them with a serious question and demand an answer. Obama people will not enjoy championing this guy if they are met with tough questions.)

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat. (Watch Obama fall back on race on every issue he can leverage it into. Learn to recognize this technique and out him. Conservatives should stay with their traditional values and defend them. Obama can not say in public what he really wants.)

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.” (How many times do you hear people say: “Imagine if a Republican did that?” This is a favorite tool of the left. Don’t let them use it on your friends. Never abandon a friend who is unjustly attacked.)

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage. (Liberals are ALWAYS portrayed as clever or smart, or even a Messiah - but conservatives cling to their religion, bias, and guns. Television shows carry the heavy load for liberals, 24/7. But how smart is it to promote political philosophies that have ruined every country in which they have been tried and killed millions of people? This crowd that follows Obama is supposed to get communism right this time? I don’t think so. Conservatives are bound by rules, morality, and facts, point it out to friends. It is a pathetically easy trick to spot.)

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.” (Liberals LOVE to protest, chant, dress up, scream yell, “speak truth to power”, go to Oliver Stone movies, and generally make asses of themselves for fun and to blow off steam because many suffer from repressed anger. The mere fact that conservatives exist drives some of them nuts – go with it. Let them know you enjoy doing battle with them. Liberals are now responsible for everything that goes wrong in America. It will be a cornucopia of excess to exploit.)

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues. (Liberals can drop an issue and pick up a new one at the drop of a hat with media help. If it isn’t in the news it doesn’t matter. The internet provides an alternative. Use it.)

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.” (Obama and his Democrats are IN POWER, they lost this tool and should suffer harshly from it.)

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. (A lot of the socialist agenda of Obama will cause a backlash. He only knows campaigning, no voting “present” for him now. It’s put up and back up. No way out. When any portion of his socialist agenda fails it should become legend by being pointed out endlessly)

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?” (Just try and get a straight answer out of Obama or his cronies. He is armed with quips and smart ass campaign comments. Always point it out to people. He will never change his spots.)

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame. (This is what is being done to Sarah Palin by the media NOW because the left fears her ability to stay on message against them. Don’t let it happen when you are around. Obama puts his foot in his mouth every time he strays from the teleprompter. Biden is a gaff-a-minute machine. Point it out, write about it, hammer it home. They earned the spotlight.)

My Rules for Conservatives is dedicated to Saul Alinsky who dedicated his Rules for Radicals to Satan.

"Obama’s talking points are very limited and have almost no specifics."

Ed you make this comment, yet you seem to know so much about the man and what he is going to do. If his talking points are so limited, can you please give evidence of his socialist/Marxist plan you seem to think he has?

"Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

Well, we know you, Mr. Cheap Shot artist, have this rule down pat.

"Liberals LOVE to protest, chant, dress up, scream yell, speak truth to power, go to Oliver Stone movies, and generally make asses of themselves for fun and to blow off steam because many suffer from repressed anger."

Ed, we also enjoy Michael Moore films too. AND we find humor in irony. Your comment about us "liberals" suffering from repressed anger is a perfect example.

"Liberals can drop an issue and pick up a new one at the drop of a hat with media help."

Right! And conservatives knew all along about William Ayers and the Weather Underground? Funny how important that issue became about six weeks before the election? BTW, did you hear Rahm Emmanuel was on the board of Freddie Mac when the scandal was brewing?!

"Just try and get a straight answer out of Obama or his cronies. He is armed with quips and smart ass campaign comments. Always point it out to people. He will never change his spots."

Ed, until I read THIS comment, I never realized how much YOU have with President Elect Obama. Perhaps that explains why you are such a self-hating pant load.

Yet another example of Ed, the balding artful dodger, avoiding answering a question.

Ray:

Rule #3, pay attention.

As I have written about a dozen times so far, I don't know who you are but I do know WHAT you are. You post nasty comments anonymously so I can call you whomever I want. You always respond to any Ray news with your many fake names.

See how this works?

You do a disservice to your pal Ray, who claim not to be, by constanty making an ass of yourself in this comments section. Not my problem - my opportunity.

I am glad to drag you out of the anonymous closet and call you Ray. There is NOTHING you can do about it.

Welcome to #3 in Rules for Conservatives.

Dear Ed,

Your bitterness is understandable. You can't wait to rant to exude the deep pain of the recent humiliating loss.

Why do you hate HOPE Ed? Are things that bad with you? Please, give Barack and chance, he'll rule from the middle, and we both know that Democrats are more responsible fiscally (Clinton = surplus, Bush = deficit), so just calm down.

Bitterness is hurtful to the person showing it Ed, sign up for some yoga, relax my friend, you do some good work and we need you healthy!

The ignorance of this commenter is breathtaking. Obama has clearly stated what his plans are to make the constitution 'more redistributionist' and much of his plans to control people are already underway. He was a registered member of the Socialist Party as late as 1996, posters of the murderous communist dictator Che Guevara prominently displayed in his headquarters, and there were even hammer and sickle flags flying at his victory party.

Does someone have to slap you upside the head with these items to make you wake up? You are for sure the product of the UN controlled public schools...which should be defunded for the damage they are doing.

Better hide your children, money, and firearms, the community organizers are coming! Forced service? I refuse to let my children to be sacrificed on the altar of Marx. They can jail me...

I'm sorry to inform you , but communism and slavery to the state are NOT HOPE in any way shape or form.

It's just amazing that 'HOPE" and the other empty platitudes and slogans of this flim-flam artist Obama could have tricked so many of you sheeple into thinking he cares about you at all...or that communism somehow means HOPE.

Dear Obamunistas:

I'm feeling the love now.

Think,

Do not waste your time with my thick self. My problem is this: I have no real desire to "debate." When any true opportunity for actual dialogue is offered, I close it quickly with a snide commment, smart-ass quip, and diversion from the subject. I'm as hopeless as I am balding. I've now taken to lumping all of you into one name and one person. This helps me to better focus the anger and bitterness I have inside me. Listening to both sides of the argument requires reason and and open mind; neither, of which, I have. As I grow bigger, my mind closes further shut.

Ray:

Thank you!

I'll take it as you wrote a poem for me.

You know you don't have to read this stuff and obsess over it. Take a vacation to , maybe, Amsterdam.

Ed,

You might be the angriest person I have ever encountered. You need to confront this. It's hurting you. You're driving fellow conservatives away from your cause. I think your heart is in the right place, and that you do truly believe in conservative values, but somethings got you wound up and so full of anger. I don't know what it is, but I'm praying for you. Sincerely.

Ray:

Come on now. I am the happiest guy you would ever want to meet.

But I am not so obsessed with some blog that I have to sit around ALL DAY making up phony names to get back at someone who writes truthful articles I don't want people to read.

Take that trip. You need it.
