Just In From Tony Rezko's Chicago

Here is part of this morning’s criminal indictment of liberal Democrat and Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich:

"c. Defendants Rod Blagojevich and John Harris, together with others, attempted to use Rod Blagojevich’s authority to appoint a United States Senator for the purpose of obtaining personal benefits for Rod Blagojevich, including, among other things, appointment as Secretary of Health & Human Services in the President-elect’s administration, and alternatively, a lucrative job which they schemed to induce a union to provide to Rod Blagojevich in exchange for appointing as senator an individual whom Rod Blagojevich and John Harris believed to be favored by union officials and their associates."

And naturally I have some questions.

1. Blagojevich had the authority to appoint a replacement for his old pal Barack Obama who is now the US Messiah – in exchange for “personal benefits” of which could include appointment as Secretary of Health & Human Services (emphasis “vices” I assume). So to whom was this offer made, or even perceived to be made, in the Messiah’s Administration? Or more simply put. How did Governor Rod and John Hill plan to move this plan along if the Obama Administration is as clean as a Messiah is supposed to be?

2. Which union thugs and mobsters (referenced as union official “associates” in the indictment) did Democrat Governor Rod plan on pleasing with is appointment?

3. Ain’t this more interesting than Republican US Senator Steven’s indictment over a gas grill, sled dog, vibrating chair, and construction he paid for but was never billed for?
