Star Parker's Star Power

Do you consider yourself a conservative/ know something about family values?

I’ll bet you don’t know as much as you think you do. How is your IQ when it comes to the destruction of inner city families through welfare?

I have met the world’s foremost expert on the subject – Star Parker, and she is coming BACK to NH as the keynote speaker for Cornerstone Policy Network’s Sept. 25 event at C.R. Sparks in Bedford.

Let me borrow from her web site: www. urban cure.org I don’t think she will mind.

“Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, the Coalition on Urban Renewal & Education, a 501c3 non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in the media, inner city neighborhoods, and public policy.

Prior to her involvement in social activism, Star Parker was a single welfare mother in Los Angeles, California. After receiving Christ, Star returned to college, received a BS degree in marketing and launched an urban Christian magazine. The 1992 Los Angeles riots destroyed her business, yet served as a springboard for her focus on faith and market-based alternatives to empower the lives of the poor.

Star has written three books. Her autobiography "Pimps, Whores & Welfare Brats" was released in 1997 by Pocket Books, "Uncle Sam's Plantation" is released by Thomas Nelson in the fall of 2003, and "White Ghetto: How Middle Class America Reflects Inner City Decay " was released in 2006.

Today, in addition to heading CURE, Star is a syndicated columnist for Scripps Howard News Service, offering weekly op-eds to more than 400 newspapers worldwide, including the Boston Herald, the Dallas Morning News, The Orange County Register, San Diego Union, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the Washington Times, and the Star and Stripes, the largest paper serving the men and women of our Armed Forces .”

I met Star Parker the last time she spoke in NH, during the primary, when I was asked to be her security, you know, hang around and make sure that none of the highly agitated, non-resident campaign larva that descend on our fair state don’t get up in her face until they deal with mine. Enjoyed the heck out of it! We had a very informative and entertaining evening. Can’t say it was a quiet evening. When Star Parker gets going jaws start dropping and the gloves come off.

Talk about a dynamo! This girl knows how our government has created, and perpetuates, a socialist slave society (my words) out of minority inner city folks through abortion and welfare. She has lived it and lives to tell about it. Thank God.

If you want tickets for this event because you want to know more, or because you want information to shut your liberal friends up when they blather on about how much they “care” about the poor minorities, or you want to get informed and energized about how to FIX urban decay from the family up, contact CPR at: (603) 228-4794 or www.nhcornerstone.org.
