S**ty Manager Paul Beecher OUT At South Hadley

http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2012/01/south_hadley_town_administrato_3.html

Wasn't it just a few weeks ago the Town of South Hadley Ma. gave Paul Beecher a checkbook and free reign regarding some project in town?

I think it was.

And now, just before town meeting, Paul Beecher has hit the road to spend more time with his family.

The South Hadley Selectmen are mute on his leaving, wishing him well and keeping the matter private.

They knew exactly how he managed every other municipality before he came to Massachusetts. Kansas City, Dover, Kingman, all were glad to see him go.

So now it is South Hadley, Ma. wishing him well and no comment.

Keep in touch Paul, taxpayers in NH want to follow your carrer.

I find this post to be extremely distasteful. Not sure what you might know as the recent articles pertaining to Mr. Beecher's prior experience are extremely petty. In a position such as this, Mr. Beecher was forced to make decisions which can be picked apart; however, his abilities should not be judged based on a little dirt a few sources were able to provide. Good luck Mr. Beecher.

Beecher and Mayor Boc were the dynamic duo who put in place the ability for the most egregious vacation/sick time payouts any public employee in NH received, $324,000 just for Bill Fenniman. It also set up Fenniman at age 48 to be the highest paid retiree in the NH state employment system starting at over $111,000 in his first year of retirement. You wonder what the entire deals consisted of. The smell of corruption and cronyism still lingers in Dover's air.

Don't rightly know why, but the name "James Michael Curley" comes to mind when I read of Beecher.

Paul Beecher, in all likelyhood, would have been charged with fraud had he operated in a private company. What, corporations are bad but cities are above reproach?

Beecher left a pattern of cutting deals behind the backs of the elected officials, $980,000.00 in Kansas City, millions in Dover, and thousands in Kingman.

A pattern shows intent or actions for personal gain.

Maybe the people responsible will not do their job, but here in NH we can at least out the guy and track him from municipality to municpality.
