Federal Tax Hikes

This January there will be a massive tax increase on businesses large and small and entrepreneurs unless Congress acts. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama agree that the federal tax cuts of 2001 and 2002 resuscitated our economy from the Clinton/Gore DotCom recession (Projected Surplus Vanished) that George Bush inherited in 2001. Obama and Pelosi both agree on an extension, except for the so called "rich" or those making more than $250,000 annually. Most small businesses in this country report Gross Earnings exceeding $250,000 per year thus the Obama/Pelosi plan is a tax increase on businesses large and small and it will stifle job creation when our country needs it most.

It appears to escape some politicians and voters that business, whether large or small, will pass on any tax hikes they must pay into the price they charge you and me for their goods and services. Any tax hike on business is really a tax hike on you and me! I know it is a hard concept to understand, especially for those who are only familiar with government employment with no accountability for profits or success. Only people pay taxes, business whether large or small collect taxes as part of their cost basis of their product or service!

With the unemployment rate hovering around 10%, it's amazing that Speaker Pelosi is even considering a tax increase on businesses. Large and small businesses are the engine for job creation in our country, not the government. The people of New Hampshire deserve to know where Frank Guinta and Carol Shea-Porter in NH CD-1 race, Charlie Bass and Annie Kuster in NH CD-2 race, and Kelly Ayotte and Paul Hodes in the US Senate race stand on the Obama-Pelosi business tax hikes before we vote in November!

Shaheen, Hodes and Shea-Porter Vote In Favor of Racial Profiling

The financial reform bill passed by Congress has a little talked about section on hiring based on Racial and Gender Preferences. This requirement establishes racial profiling as a matter of law, for all financial institutions. It was another straight party line vote in both chambers with a few from each party defecting to the other side. Most notably in the Senate it was the Northeast RINOS Brown, Collins and Snowe voting with the Democrats for the bill and Russ Feingold voting with the Republicans against the reform package. Shaheen (D), Hodes (D) and Shea-Porter (D) all voted in favor of gender and racial profiling in the Financial Industry, Judd Gregg (R) voted against it.

How is it possible to give racial preference in hiring without establishing a profile of every employment candidate especially regarding their racial and ethnic background?

It once again shows that the Democratic Party is racist. They see race at every turn and find it necessary to make laws based on race. They are trying to turn the Free Enterprise system that has been for the most part a meritocracy, where a person advances based on their skills and contributions and turning it into a gender and race based entitlement system. It is degrading to anyone of color telling them they can’t get a job without using their race as the ticket. This is also very divisive policy as it creates a government mandated system of winners and losers based wholly on race or gender.

There are bright spots. This signals the end of the Unions as we know them today. With the Federal government taking such a micro-managed role in running businesses, it will no longer be necessary to have a union. Members will come to realize that their dues are only contributing to the lifestyles of the Union Bosses and the political candidates they favor. Any work related issues, right down to who is hired are being legislated.

Secondly, this should have the attorneys representing Arizona in the federal lawsuits jumping for joy. Any complaints about racial profiling are now moot with the Federal Government making profiling not only legal but also a requirement!

NH CD-1 Representative Carol Shea-Porter goes ALL-IN with Speaker Pelosi

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced the BIGGEST entitlement program to come out of DC in many, many years. Note in the below video of the announcement that the 3rd speaker after the Speaker of the House and House Majority Leader Hoyer is none other than NH ‘s Carol Shea-Porter.

Can it be any more clear that Carol Shea-Porter is ALL-IN with Pelosi and the MoveOn.org folks on National Socialized Healthcare! Carol has decided that supporting this behemoth of a bill is the right thing to do for her constituents. Unfortunately, for NH CD-1 voters Carol has clearly shown that her constituents are the minority of far left leaning liberals in NH and the National Progressive movement of the uber rich elitists. Certainly not the average regular Jane’s and Joe’s of NH CD-1. Carol are you really that positive that these are the folks that got you elected?

Forgetting about the politics, even scarier is the bills intended purpose. The complete Government takeover of Health Care from top to bottom. Yes, there are problems with Health Care but the problems of today are dwarfs compared to what is coming with this bill. A bill to use Government programs to solve a problem that was created by Government programs, in particular Medicare and Medicaid.

If Medicare and Medicaid are already underpaying health care providers thus shifting costs to those who have private insurance or pay cash, how in the world will more Government health care underpaying “solve’ this crisis.

The real revelation will be when the Unions finally figure out that by year 10 of this plan, their members will be taxed and taxed and taxed until the system can no longer support the enormous healthcare system without deep cuts. This will cause the closing of all under performing health care providers, resulting in the lose of millions of JOBS!

Way to go unions you have now officially authorized, with your support of this bill, the elimination of millions of your members!

Here is the video of the announcement with Speaker Pelosi and House Majority Leader Hoyer. Note at the end that Leader Hoyer introduces NH’s Carol Shea-Porter with some interesting descriptions of Ms Shea-Porter.

If you have a bad case of insomnia below is the link to the Bill in its entirety, all 1990+ pages of legalese and double talk!
