PRESIDENTS HOOVER & EISENHOWER DEPORTED MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS

by Tom Sutliffe

I did not know of this until it was pointed out to me, that back during the great depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of all illegal aliens in order to make the jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.

Then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 1.3 million Mexican nationals called Operation Wetback in order that returning American WWII and Korean veterans had a better chance at jobs.

It took 2 years, but they deported them! If they could deport the illegals back then, they can sure do it today!!

If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, just type Operation Wetback into Google and confirm it for yourself.

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes.....12 million illegal aliens are depending on you!

Nice to know that the Federal Government in the 50s had no problem giving a Federal Operation an ethnic slur for a moniker.

Illegal imigration and deportations is one thing, but did they have to be jerks about by calling it "Operation Wetback?"

Did they really call it that?

Ray, maybe I'm missing something...., but I think the point was the "Operation", not what they named it. It's exactly this kind of progressive off-the-wall, out-of-place thinking, that has us in the predicament we are today! Sticks and stones will break my bones... you know the rest!

Tom - given that your prez is spending billions in Iraq every week, how will the US fund a mass deportation? How will it be carried out? Will we round people up, and sit them in concentration camps till they can be sent away?

Here's a thought for you to atempt to chew on- the US (richest country) has a border of over 3000 miles with Mexico (third world country). Can you see how we might have an ongoing problem?

Perhaps instead of blaming the people who come here, we should be taking a serious look at US trade policies and trade agreements. Has NAFTA been a success? US companies hire undocumented workers because they can pay them less. They can make undocumented workers do dangerous (meat packing, pesticide laden fruit and vegetable picking) work, for less money, and these workers have no recourse if they are injured or made sick on the job. This is not a simple issue - though all of the anti-immigrant folk try hard to make it so.

Operation Wetback. There's something for us all to be proud of. Are you supporting Tancredo for president, Mr. Sutcliffe? The white nationalist groups who love him will thank you.

more states need to do what one senator in Texas has done file a bill making the supreme court address the 14th admendment and then a child born in the U.S. from illegals have no support for medical or educational. If this doesn't work then make the country's pay for all this aid from there foreign assistance funds.
