McCain has just pulled off -- back to back -- two of the most brilliant political moves I've seen in my adulthood.
First the ju-jitsu of holding up a mirror to Obama's chief assets, his fame and oratorical skills, and turning him into a celebrity.
Then naming Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as VEEP. It's a nice touch that Palin is a woman who instantly makes Obama's Biden pick look old school. But the brilliance here is McCain's clear signal that he wants to give our Republican party back the soul it traded for K-street dollars and its callous attempt to buy votes with a reckless multi-year debt binge.
Now, were are party on a mission to rebuild America's trust in government.
Obama is rhetoric; we are action.
