Vetting of Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates

By Orion Karl Daley

When Vetting Presidential or Vice Presidential Candidates, in Article 6under Debts, Supremacy and Oaths of the US Constitution, it includes that there is to be 'no religious contest for public office'.

When studying the previous 43 Presidents as an example, many have had questionable actions in their personal lives. But so have Congress people as much as many.

If we are to focus on what Vetting should mean, should it mean Leadership that actually commits in action when swearing the oath of office?:

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States".

Should our nation truly care about anything that Republican or Democratic Candidates have in their personal lives except that what they have achieved has not been through ill-gotten gain or at the cost of others. This is where I would recommend that our nation draw the line in terms of moral and character.

Right now, our nation needs leadership for the road back from the No Man's land that it has been led into since year 2000. The most sanitized Icon of a candidate is not necessarily the answer for this. Otherwise, lets just pick Mickey Mouse –

We are faced with hard choices in being limited to only the two major parties. They have to be scrutinized for what they can do to benefit this nation instead of how to further marginalize the quality of life of our citizens.

Sincerely Yours,
