DODDS SAYS TOM RATH "HIT NAIL ON THE HEAD" WITH COMMENTS

DODDS FOR CONGRESS - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Corey Corbin, Campaign Manager

Manchester - First District Congressional Candidate Gary Dodds (D-Rye) today said that a weekend comment made by New Hampshire Republican National Committeeman Tom Rath "hit the nail on the head" when comes to the GOP-lead Congress.

In an Associated Press story released on the Newsday.com website, Rath stated "we have seen the enemy, and he is us" when asked to comment on the Republican dominated culture of corruption in Washington. Rath also noted that the GOP needed to "get back to the basics of smaller government and reduced spending.

"I couldn't be happier that a member of the Republican leadership hasfinally decided to give an honest and accurate assessment of our Republican-dominated Congress to the American people."

I decided to run for Congress because, as a tax payer and citizen, I'm sick and tired of the corruption and the business as usual attitude that dominates Washington. I'd like to thank Tom Rath for validating my campaign – even Republican leaders are starting to recognize that we need drastic change in Washington and we need it now," said Dodds.

"You know, the quote made by Rath is actually from a character named Pogo. I think it's a sad state of affairs in this country when our leaders have to explain away their scandalous actions using quotes from a cartoon," Dodds ended.
