On Wednesday, February 1st,the House Small Business Committee's Subcommittee on Tax, Finance and Exports, chaired by Congressman Jeb Bradley (R-NH), and the Subcommittee on Rural Enterprises, Agriculture & Technology, chaired by Congressman Sam Graves (R-MO), will hold a joint hearing titled, " Transforming the Tax Code: An Examination of the President's Tax Reform Panel Recommendations." THIS HEARING WILL BE OPEN TO THE PRESS.

This hearing will discuss the recommendations of the President's Tax Reform Panel, which was established in January 2005 to identify the major problems in our nation's tax code and

recommend options to make the code simpler, fairer and more conducive to economic growth. Wednesday's hearing will focus on the Panel's recommendations with regard to small business concerns.
