Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council to Host Senate and Executive Council Debates

Manchester, N.H. – The Manchester Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) holds a series of debates moderated by Manchester-area high school students from 5:00 to 8:00 at auditorium of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, October 26. This event is free and open to the public.

These debates are fully organized by youth. MYAC representatives have researched the candidates and the issues that are pertinent to young people of New Hampshire. These debates will feature Betsi DeVries and Andy Martel at 5:05-5:35, Bob Wheeler and Lou D’Allesandro at 5:45-6:15, Bob Backus and Ted Gatsas at 6:25-6:55, and Ray Weiczorek and Paul Martineau at 7:05-7:45.

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council is a non-partisan organization dedicated to youth involvement in political and community affairs. Founded in 1989, MYAC gathers students from all five Manchester high schools with the intention of creating a stronger voice for youth in city government.
