RAY BURTON CAMPAIGN TRAIN SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2006Are you and your family or friends interested in enjoying a relaxing day on a train in a really beautiful part of the world? If you are, then make your plans today to be at the Laconia Railroad Station in downtown Laconia, NH on Saturday morning, October 28, 2006 and join us for the 2006 Ray Burton Campaign Train courtesy of the Hobo and Winnipesaukee Railroads.
Your full day on the rails starts with a coffee hour and ceremonies at the Black Cat Restaurant in Laconia, NH from 8:00am to 9:00pm followed by the train departing the historic Laconia Railroad Station promptly at 9:00am. The Campaign train will wind its way through historic Weirs Beach and Meredith, NH, along the Big Lake and arrive at the Ashland Railroad Station at approximately 11:00am. There will be a brief stop at 11:30am at the Bonnie Bray Deer Farm followed by a delicious spaghetti lunch served at the Plymouth Senior Center in Plymouth, NH (the old Plymouth Railroad Station) at Noon for just $8.00 per person. Your train will depart Plymouth for the return trip to Laconia at 1:30pm and will stop briefly in Bridgewater, NH for a reception at the Bridgewater Wood-fired Power Plant. The day winds down with a return trip along the rails through scenic Weirs Beach and Meredith, arriving back in downtown Laconia at 3:30pm.
And here's the amazing part, the day-long excursion aboard the Hobo & Winnipesaukee Railroad train trip is complimentary. That's right, it's free! It's provided free of charge by the friendly folks at the Hobo and Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroads. The only thing you'll have to pay for (and it's optional) is your spaghetti lunch which is $8.00 per person. If you'd rather bring your own lunch, that's just fine as well.
However, to join us on the train you must call the Hobo Railroad to reserve your seat (as well as your spaghetti lunch if you'd like to join us for lunch) before Monday, October 23rd, 2006. Just call the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln, NH at (603) 745-2135 and they'll be able to take your reservation over the telephone. By the way, I'll be making my way through the cars that day passing out Flying Yankee Donor and Naming Rights information and I hope to see you there.
