CONCORD, NH – Today, Senator Lou D’Allesandro, D-Manchester, issued a statement commending Governor Lynch on his quick, decisive action to provide Manchester with additional resources to assist the city in fighting crime.
On Monday, Senator D’Allesandro met with the Governor, New Hampshire’s Attorney General, the Manchester city major, liquor enforcement officers, and law enforcement members to discuss how the state can work in conjunction with the community to effectively address increasing crime and safety concerns in Manchester.
Yesterday, Governor Lynch announced a plan to increase overtime shifts for state troopers and Manchester city police, and a number of other measures aimed at increasing security for Manchester residents.
“Governor Lynch has demonstrated real leadership in quickly responding to a request from the city to help fight crime in Manchester,” stated Senator D’Allesandro. “This is what makes John Lynch a trustworthy, reliable Governor. He quickly and decisively answers the needs of communities and has demonstrated time and time again that he knows what is best for New Hampshire.”
