It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to you today. Over the last several months, you may have noticed that the Corbin for Senate campaign had essentially ceased to exist. Due to unfortunate circumstances in his personal and professional life, Mr. Corbin has withdrawn from the campaign.
In the last month Corey has gone back to work and refuses to take phone calls or e-mails from Lauren and I.
I write this e-mail not as a personal attack on Corey but as an explanation for the inactions of the campaign. I feel terrible, knowing that we had a chance to elect a Democrat in District 17. However, unseating an incumbent is always difficult, and in order to win we needed to run a strong aggressive campaign - including the candidate.
I would like to add that Lauren and I enjoyed meeting all of you and hope that in the future we will be able to again work together to bring about positive change for New Hampshire. I would like to thank you all for your support and know that had I been able to foresee the events that have unfolded, I would not have gotten you involved.
P.S. On a Happier note, I also want to congratulate everyone who helped bring the democrats to victory. It was a great Year for the Democrats and it could not have been accomplished without the hard work of everyone involved.
