Manchester- Mayor Frank C. Guinta today urged Manchester residents and neighbors to come out to two upcoming holiday festivities. On Friday, November 24th at 6pm, there will be a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the Massabesic Traffic Circle, and on Saturday, November 25th at 4pm, Manchester will be holding its annual Christmas Parade.
"I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy these two joyous occasions," Guinta said. "This is a wonderful way to kickoff the holiday season with your friends and neighbors."
"The people of Manchester and the surrounding communities have faced many difficult challenges beyond anyone’s control this year," Guinta added. "I am very pleased that we have these opportunities to take a step back and enjoy the season as a community."
The Massabesic Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is organized by Alderman Real Pinard and the local merchants of the Youngsville Region of Manchester and Auburn each year. It is annually attended by hundreds of families, and features a visit from Santa Clause for the kids. Anyone with questions about the event should call Alderman Real Pinard at 603.622.1584.
The Manchester Christmas Parade is sponsored by Intown Manchester. Anyone with questions about the parade should call Sue Butler at 603.645.6285.
"I look forward to seeing all of my friends and neighbors on Friday and Saturday," Guinta remarked.
