The New Hampshire Institute of Politics atSaint Anselm College recently completed a statewide study of civic engagement in the Granite State. The New Hampshire Civic Index is a first-of-its-kind research study that seeks to gain a better understanding of the levels of civic knowledge and skills that exist specifically for New Hampshire'syouth and adult populations.
In an effort to facilitate conversations about the results of the Civic Index and what they mean, the NHIOP is convening community forums throughout the state. The purpose of these forums is for students, parents, teachers, administrators, youth organizations, elected officials and citizens to discuss ways in which the results of the Civic Index could help inform efforts to improve civic education and participation.
The Manchester area Community Forum will be held on November 29, at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics atSaint Anselm College. R.S.V.P. is required by completing the registration form at www.nhcivicindex.org, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 603-222-4100.
