Executive Councilor Ray Wieczorek today urged all citizens to do their duty and vote for the candidates of their choice. “I recently read, in a respected Veterans magazine, the following quotation that really hit home to me. It said, ‘Americans will cross an ocean to fight for democracy, but won’t cross the street to vote in an election. Voting is a privilege for which many gave their lives to secure for us. Your vote—and your example—make a big difference. So stay informed and vote for issues and candidates that support America.’”

“Sue and I took a break from campaigning and went to dinner Friday night and had a chance encounter with two of our returningIraq war veterans. They stressed to us how we were making real progress over there, despite media impressions to the contrary and they were proud of what they and the fellow American troops were doing over there. The least we can do is get out and vote for the candidates of our choice Tuesday. God bless them and God bless you all,” the veteran councilor declared.
