New Hampshire Republican State Committee, et al ., (Hillsborough County SuperiorCourt, 04-E-0328) involving the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s claims regarding an 82 minute phone jam of 5 of its 14 field office phones during the2002 general election:

“The civil litigation between the New Hampshire Democratic Party and various defendants, including the New Hampshire Republican State Committee, has settled. As we have previously stated, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee deplores the phone jamming incident that took place in New Hampshirein 2002. The New Hampshire Republican State Committee does not endorse the use of illegal or improper tactics in the conduct of elections. We have always insisted that elections be conducted in full compliance with law and that election contests should be won on the merits. The political parties in this case all agree that purposeful interference with communications has no place in democratic elections and is inconsistent with the principles for which they all stand.”
