Concord, N.H. - The New Hampshire Young Democrats (NHYD), official youth arm of the New Hampshire Democratic Party (NHDP), recently elected new leadership to the board of directors.
Graham Chynoweth, elected president of the board, takes the reins from Amanda Grady, who served as NHYD president for the last several years.  A Manchester resident, Chynoweth is an attorney with Sheehan, Phinney, Bass & Green.
Other new board members include Destie Hohman Sprague, Vice President; Gregory Sargent, Treasurer; Kate Vaughn, Secretary; Amanda Grady, National Committee Woman; and Michael Colby, National Committee Man.  Rounding out the board are auxiliary members Elgin Booth, Membership Coordinator and Katie Judd, Media Coordinator.
"Our goal is to get as many young people as possible involved in politics and actively voting," says Chynoweth.  "We're looking to expand the NHYD network in 2006 by including social gatherings and membership events.  We have solid, proactive ideas and a lot of energy -- you'll be seeing much more of us in the near future."
The New Hampshire Young Democrats (NHYD) exist to promote the values of the Democratic Party, elect young Democrats, and engage people between the ages 18 and 36 in the political process.
