CORBIN WILL RUN FOR DISTRICT 17 SENATE SEAT IN 2006;
LEAVES DODDS CAMPAIGN

Sandown - Sandown Selectman Corey Corbin (D), a former 2-term State
Representative and 2004 State Senate Candidate, has announced he plans to
run for the District 17 seat in the New Hampshire State Senate again in
2006.

Corbin most recently was managing the Congressional Campaign of Gary Dodds,
a Democrat from Rye who is seeking the First District nomination.

"I had been asked by Ray Buckley to run for the District 17 Senate seat
again. I want to do what is best for the party and if they think I should
run for the Senate again, then I'll do it. This year, I have the benefit of
knowing where we made the mistakes and what to do differently in order to
win," said Corbin, referring to his 2004 run in which he garnered 40 percent
of the vote.

With regard to exiting the Dodds campaign, Corbin said the atmosphere around
the office made the decision easy.

"While I think Gary may have a shot at the Primary, he needs to get serious
if he wants to win. In the few months I was leading the campaign, I had yet
to see Gary take this race seriously. He won't raise money outside of his
own, he has a hard time with public speaking and never seems willing to
practice, and he slips up on issues and facts. Whoever he finds to take
over that campaign has a lot of work ahead of them."

Corbin said that for his part, he will file a campaign committee with the
Secretary of State and has his first fund raising event planned for
Saturday, February 25th at his Manchester restaurant.

"We've already enlisted to help of volunteers, raised some money, and I'll
be making the rounds of District 17 over the next few months. I'm looking
forward to this election and I think the result will be very different."
