THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF THE SEACOAST AREA MEETING, March 1, 2006

Durham, NH-- The public is invited to a meeting of the League of Women
Voters of the Seacoast Area on March 1, 2006, at 7:00 pm, in the Community
Meeting Room of the Durham Police Station, Route 108, Durham. The meeting
will provide an opportunity for people to learn about the Seacoast Area
League and to discuss the organization's programs.

There have been many requests for the League to conduct candidate forums on
local and state races. On the state level, the League is very actively
lobbying the Legislature on a number of issues, including on proposed
changes to election laws and environmental regulations. Local League members
are encouraged to join the state League Lobby Corps.

The League of Women Voters is a grassroots organization that encourages
informed and active participation in government. It differs from many other
political organizations because it takes stands on political issues but
never on candidates or political parties. Individual members are encouraged
to be politically active but the League, as an organization, never takes
sides in elections.

The Police Station is less than 5 miles from the Newington Wal-Mart. From
Route 4 west take the Durham, Newmarket, Route 108 exit. Turn right and
drive 4/10 of a mile. The Police Station will be on your right. There is a
circular drive, so if you miss the first turn, you can take the second.
