PROPERTY PROTECTION ALLIANCE LAUNCHES WEBSITE

CONCORD - Property Protection Alliance Chairman Chuck Douglas has announced the launch of the group's website dedicated to promoting the passage of CACR30, the constitutional amendment that will appear on the November ballot. The site, www.ppanh.org, will serve as an informational tool to educate voters on the importance of eminent domain reform, promote a “yes” vote on the amendment and recruit volunteers and financial contributors to help spread the message.

CACR30 would amend article 12 ofthe State Constitution to prohibit eminent domain seizures for the purpose of private development. The measure easily passed in the house and was endorsed by the State Senate with a unanimous 24-0 vote.

Douglas, a former State Supreme Court Justice and member of congress, founded the Property Protection Alliance of New Hampshire with a group of political activists, policy advocates and concerned legislators including State Sen. Richard Green (R- Rochester) and State Representatives Maureen Mooney (R-Merrimack) and Jim Splaine (D-Portsmouth). The group plans on funding a statewide issue campaign on eminent domain reform and winning voters’ approval of CACR30 in November.
