Rochester, NH—Congressional candidate Carol Shea-Porter commented on the recent remarks by Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz concerning the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s involvement in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District race.
“The DCCC and I agree that Jeb Bradley is vulnerable this November, and the reason why is clear. For the past two years, many other active citizens and I have been attending Bradley’s town hall meetings, asking him to represent the people of New Hampshire. We have also called and written letters, asking him to stop passing legislation that only helps the richest people in the country,” she said.
Shea-Porter pointed out that Bradley has chosen to support the Bush agenda of big spending. “I am the candidate who has attended these Bradley meetings with other concerned constituents. We have kept the spotlight on Bradley’s Washington budget-busting record, and I know this is why Bradley is vulnerable. New Hampshire voters understand that Jeb Bradley has forgotten about them. I’m running an aggressive, district-wide campaign that is attracting support from voters from the White Mountains to the Seacoast to the heart of Manchester. With the help of thousands of concerned citizens, I will win the Democratic nomination Sept. 12, and when I go to Washington, I pledge to represent all of us.”
