DOVER –Democratic U.S. senators Evan Bayh of Indiana and Joe Biden of
Delaware, each frequently mentioned as a possible presidential candidate in
2008, will visit Strafford County this month to support local Democratic
candidates and meet with voters.

Sen. Bayh will attend a reception for State Senator Iris Estabrook of Durham
at the home of state Rep. Mike Rollo in Rollinsford Sat., June 10 at 10 a.m.
Senator Estabrook will be seeking her third term in the Senate this fall
representing Dover, Durham, Epping, Lee and Rollinsford.

Sen. Bayh was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1998 after serving two terms as
governor of Indiana. He has developed a reputation as a common sense
pragmatist with a proven and broad appeal and a history of advancing
progressive values in a heavily Republican state.

Sen. Biden will attend a fundraiser for the Strafford County Democratic
Committee and the New Hampshire Democratic Party at the Waldron Towers
Community Room, 3 Green St., Dover on Sat., June 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Sen. Biden has represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate since 1973 and is the
senior Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He is recognized
as one of the nation’s most powerful and influential voices on foreign
relations, terrorism, drug policy and crime prevention.
