BRUCE FILES WITH SECRETARY OF STATE
CANDIA - Bob Bruce, Democratic candidate for Executive Council, District 4, today officially filed his candidacy with the New Hampshire Secretary of State's office.
Today's filing is the culmination of a year's worth of groundwork done by Bruce as he visited cities and towns throughout the district and the state to see what qualities residents want in an executive councilor
"It's obvious that District 4, in particular, needs a member of the council who is positive, ethical, efficient and proactive," said Bruce. "As a result of my discussions with a wide range of people, I believe - in fact, I know - I'm familiar with the needs of this district and the state. I truly want to work in the public's service; this is not a career for me."
Bruce said he would work to secure contracts for New Hampshire that will "provide gainful employment for our NH workers, not workers from Maine, Vermont or Massachusetts"
I also want to work for the implementation of a highway and overall transportation plan that is viable for this state," Bruce continued. "We need a plan that is viable for our resident motorists, as well as tourists and other visitors, while at the same time taking into consideration New Hampshire's environment and ecosystems."
Bruce concluded by saying "there needs to be better efficiency and accountability on the part of the Executive Councilor from District 4. I will provide the kind of independent leadership and representation the people deserve in Concord."
