CAROL SHEA-PORTER WISHES PETER SULLIVAN WELL

Rochester, NH—Congressional candidate Carol Shea-Porter issued a statement today regarding State Rep. Peter Sullivan’s withdrawal from the Congressional race.

“I will miss seeing Peter on the campaign trail. He has a moral political compass and I have a great deal of respect for him. We have had many good conversations about the issues facing New Hampshire and the country today, and we are committed to these same goals-standing up for the people of NH and restoring moral integrity to Congress. Peter and I have been calling for campaign finance reform because we know New Hampshire voters want the issues, not the money, to determine political success. I wish Peter well and hope he stays engaged in New Hampshire politics,” she said.

Shea-Porter is the chairwoman of the Rochester Democratic Committee. There will be a forum for First District Congressional candidates at the Flanagan Community Center in Somersworth on July 16, at 2 p.m. Her web site is www.carolforcongress.com.
