Goffstown Democrats to meet Aug. 8

GOFFSTOWN -- Two write-in candidates have come forward to complete Goffstown Democrats' slate for state representative in New Hampshire House District 7, which includes Goffstown and Weare.   Barbara Barbour and Kelly Teevan are asking to be written in on the ballot in the Democratic Primary on Sept. 12.
    Their candidacies mark the first time in many years that local Democrats have offered a full slate for the 8-representative district. They join the candidates whose names will appear on the ballot: Ivan E.Beliveau;  Fay R. Greenberg;  "Al" Packard;  Mary Till; Denise Walderich and Donald Welch.
     Meeting attendance has grown steadily as we head into this fall's crucial midterm election. The next Goffstown Democrats' meeting will be Aug. 8 on Patrick's Country Restaurant, 9 High St.  A social hour from6 to 7 p.m. will be followed by a business meeting.  Congressional candidate Jim Craig, who wants to unseat Congressman Jeb Bradley this fall, will attend, and several other local and state Democratic officials have been invited.
    The meeting is open to anyone interested in helping rebuild astrong Democratic presence in Goffstown.
