FAMILY SECURITY DISCUSSIONS INCLUDE EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, VETERANS & SENIORS BENEFITS, ENERGY COSTS AND PROTECTING OUR FAMILIES FUTURE
(July 31, 2006)— Congressional Candidate Jim Craig initiated the first in a series of family security forums hosted in New Hampshire family homes throughout the first district. Topics discussed at the first Family Security Forum included rising gas prices, education, Iraq, social security, and the rising budget deficit. Issues to be discussed at future forums include: home heating bills, increased health insurance and prescription drug costs, student loan interest rates and the cost of living for everyday New Hampshire Families.
“It is important to listen to New Hampshire families so that I can best represent them in Washington, and work toward providing a secure future for our families,” said Jim. “I am looking forward to continuing to sit down with families to discuss how we can take the New Hampshire way of doing things down to Washington and change the direction of our country. Their honest and thoughtful ideas inspire me with hope.”
Mark Bourque, father of two said, “Last time around I voted for Jeb, because I didn’t really feel like there was an alternative. Jeb has become nothing more than a Bush follower. Now that Jim has come along, he’s got some better ideas of how to spend our money and invest in a better future for our kids and grandkids.”
“Jim is a good, honest man with absolute integrity that can make a difference,” said Donna Fallon.
“My biggest issue is the war. I don’t want to be sent to Iraq to fight for greed and power. I think we were there for the wrong reasons,” said Derek Lynch.
“I am concerned about the security of my family- about my children’s future, and that my children will get a good education and some day I will be secure enough to enjoy my grandkids,” said Peg Bourke.
Every Sunday, Jim will join New Hampshire families to listen to their concerns and create a dialogue so working families of New Hampshire can once again reclaim their voice in Washington.
