GUINTA DISCUSSES CITY ISSUES WITH SENIORS

Mayor continues citywide Senior Q&A Summer Series

Manchester- Mayor Frank C. Guinta continued his citywide Senior Q&A Summer Series by meeting with a group of about 50 City Seniors at the William Cashin Senior Center.

"I feel it is so important to be constantly receiving feedback from all sectors of the community," Guinta said. "Seniors have some concerns that are unique to them and wouldn’t normally be brought up in my ward-by-ward meetings. These forums give me a chance to stay in touch with our older residents."

Guinta spent about an hour taking questions from the audience and offering candid answers. Among the topics addressed were preventing crime, lowering taxes, and adding parking spaces at the senior center. Guinta followed the discussion by having lunch with the attendees.

Guinta intends to continue the Senior Q&A Summer Series into the fall. Additionally, the Mayor’s Ward-by-Ward meetings continue throughout the summer and fall with eight wards already visited.
