Mayor, Senate President and Congressman tour downtown small businesses

Manchester- Mayor Frank C. Guinta and Congressman Jeb Bradley today toured Manchester’s downtown, visiting with local small business owners. This is another facet of Guinta’s initiative to stay in touch with the needs of Manchester by reaching out to as much of the community as possible.

Among the issues discussed were taxes, crime, and eastern equine encephalitis.

"I have spent my first eight months in office meeting with our city’s seniors, ward residents, teachers, nurses, first responders, public officials, etc. to talk about the issues that matter most to them’" Guinta said. "Small Business owners are a driving force in Manchester’s community and have some unique needs. I am pleased that I have this opportunity to visit these business men and women and hear what concerns them."

Guinta also praised Congressman Bradley for his commitment to his constituency.

"Congressman Bradley has done so much for small business owners over the years. It is very refreshing to have a Congressman that reaches out to the people of the district as much as Jeb does."

Also joining Mayor Guinta and Congressman Bradley was State Senate President and Manchester Ward 2 Alderman Ted Gatsas.

Mayor Guinta intends to continue to reach out to various segments of the community throughout his tenure. The Mayor’s Ward-by-Ward meetings continue throughout the summer and fall with eight wards already visited and a visit to Ward 3 scheduled for the end of this month.
