Founder of Vanguard, John Bogle, and CNN financial Editor, Myron Kandel, to Discuss Corporate Responsibility and Investor Protection

Manchester , N.H. – John Bogle, founder of the Vanguard mutual funds, will discuss the issues of corporate responsibility and investor protection with Myron Kandel, one of the founders of CNN and president of The Initiative for Corporate Responsibility and Investor Protection.

This event, which requires R.S.V.P. to, will be held in the Auditorium at the New Hampshire Institute of  Politics atSaint Anselm College on Thursday, September 21, at 2:00 p.m.

Bogle, creator of the index mutual fund and author of five books on investing and mutual funds, will be interviewed by Kandel, CNN founding financial editor and economic commentator, for a program that later will be broadcast on New Hampshire Public Television.

“More than Money with Myron Kandel,” is part of a series of high-profile public forums conducted by The Initiative for Corporate Responsibility and Investor Protection, based in Concord, New Hampshire.

Bogle, named by Time Magazine in 2004 as one of the world’s most powerful and influential people, created Vanguard in 1974 and served as its chief executive and then senior chairman for more than 25 years. The company now comprises more than 120 mutual funds with assets totaling $1 trillion. He has been an outspoken advocate for the individual investor and the need for ethical corporate standards.

Before helping to launch CNN in 1980, Kandel was the financial editor of three newspapers, a foreign correspondent, a syndicated columnist and the editor of the nation’s largest daily legal newspaper.
