Concord , NH – Recently the New Hampshire State Senate Committee on Education had a position vacated by the former State Senator Dick Green (R- Rochester). Senator John Gallus (R- Berlin) was appointed to the Committee by Senate President Ted Gatsas (R- Manchester).
Senate President Ted Gatsas commented, “Education is a very important part of our society. John Gallus is a hard working Senator that will aide in getting quality legislation out of the Committee.”
Senator John Gallus concluded, “I am honored to have been appointed by Senator Gatsas. Education is the cornerstone of our society and deserves the utmost attention paid to it. I am committed to helping ensure our future residents get the best education possible.”
The Senate Education Committee is comprised of six Senators and meets regularly throughout the year debating potential education legislation.
Senator John Gallus is currently the Majority Whip and in addition to being a member of the Education Committee, he serves on the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, as well as Senate Ways and Means Committee. Senator Gallus is also currently the Vice Chairman of the Senate Environment and Wildlife Committee.
