Former New Hampshire State GOP Chairs to Join Straight Talk America

ALEXANDRIA , VA –Three former New Hampshire Republican Party Chairmen, representing 14 years of service, have offered their support to Senator John McCain’s StraightTalk America. Rhona Charbonneau (1989-1993) and Jayne Millerick (2003-2005) will serve as state advisors to guide Senator McCain’s efforts to help elect Republicans up and down the ballot in November’s election.

Charbonneau and Millerick join former Republican Party Chair Steve Duprey (1993-2001), who announced his support earlier this year.

Jayne Millerick was the youngest woman ever elected chair, and led the Republican Party to great success in the 2004 elections. Under her leadership, Republicans won 16 of 24 State Senate seats and more than 240 of the 400 State House districts. Jayne’s grassroots expertise and her knowledge of ‘get-out-the-vote’ programs is second to none in New Hampshire.

“I am excited to join Straight Talk America,” Millerick said. “John McCain has shown true commitment to helping our candidates for New Hampshire Senate, the battleground for this election cycle, and has been steadfast in offering his support to Republicans in New Hampshire and every other state across the country.”

Rhona Charbonneau served as Party Chairman under then-Governor Judd Gregg and is a close supporter of the Bush and Gregg families. During her tenure, she was acclaimed as a woman ahead of her time who brought focus and discipline to statewide and legislative campaigns. She is currently a County Commissioner for Hillsborough County, the largest in the state.

“The United States needs John McCain’s leadership. He has displayed an immense ability to grow the RepublicanParty to new heights,” said Charbonneau.

Senator McCain said, “These former Party Chairwomen have great experience rolling up their sleeves to do the hard work to elect Republicans. I am honored to have their support and counsel in New Hampshire.”
