KEENE, NH – The New Hampshire for Hillary Campaign today announced Jean Auger, and her 14-year-old granddaughter, Brooke Auger, as the campaign’s HillStars of the Week. The Keene grandmother-granddaughter duo, regularly phone bank and help with office work on behalf of the campaign.
“Like so many other people, I think we need a change,” said Jean. “I know we can depend on Hillary to deliver that change. She really understands the problems our country is dealing with.”
“Volunteering for Hillary is a great way to spend time with my grandmother while also doing something that can help change our country,” said Brooke. “Hillary is a great role model. It’s empowering to watch her and know that women in this country can do anything they put their minds to.”
The pair first got involved when Senator Clinton and President Clinton travelled to Keene in July. They spend as much time as they can at the New Hampshire for Hillary Keene office. Jean is an avid reader who enjoys spending time with her granddaughters. Brooke, a middle school student, is on the cross country and track teams and enjoys skiing and snowboarding.
“My campaign is lucky to have volunteers like Jean and Brooke,” said Senator Clinton. “This grandmother and granddaughter pair is ready to see a change in our country. With their help, and the help of so many others across the Granite State, we will take back the White House and set this country on a new path.”
Every week, the NH for Hillary campaign will name a HillStar of the Week to recognize one volunteer who demonstrates extraordinary commitment and dedication to the campaign. HillStars will be featured on the NH for Hillary webpage at www.hillaryclinton.com/nh .
