MANCHESTER (May 8, 2007) – Creamland, the venerable drive-in restaurant founded in 1947, will be celebrating its 60th anniversary on Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Creamland; 250 Valley St.; Manchester. Mayor Frank Guinta will read a proclamation from the city and State Sen. Ted Gatsas will also be making a presentation.
"Whenever businesses like Creamland make it 60 years, it suggests a loyal customer base and a strong group of owners and employees committed to the community," Mayor Guinta said. "I am proud to know the Choate and Queena families and equally proud to be part of Creamland’s birthday festivities."
