Lifelong Manchester resident Henry J. "Hank" Simpson today filed as a candidate for alderman from Ward 7.
"I'm running for alderman because I want to have neighborhoods where we can walk down the streets without fearing for our safety; because we can do a better job of protecting home owners from soaring property taxes; and because I want to help grow the small businesses that provide good jobs for Manchester residents" said Simpson.
Simpson, 51, is a lifelong resident of Ward 7. He is the son of Bill and Lillian Hannon, who owned and operated the Wilson St. Spa for many years. He is married to Gail (Marion) Simpson, and is the father of three sons, Shawn, Trevor, and Jarrett. He is a graduate of Memorial High Schooland studied criminal justice at St. Anselm College.
Hank Simpson has served his community as a youth sports coach with the Manchester Flames youth hockey team and the East Little League.
Simpson is currently employed as a senior account executive with WGIR-AM/Rock 101. He previously was a small business owner, owning and operating Honey Dew Donuts franchises in Manchester, Nashua, and Londonderry
