MANCHESTER, NH – In celebration of our nation’s independence, U.S. Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign staff, volunteers, and supporters participated in Fourthof July parades across the Granite State today.
Dozens of McCain staff and supporters marched in parades in Amherst, Merrimack, Wolfeboro, and Woodsville. They joined thousands of New Hampshire residents to honor our nation.
Senator John McCain, who is spending the Fourth of July week with the troops serving our nation in Iraq, gave his thoughts on the importance of the holiday. “The Fourth of July is a time for our nation to come together as families, friends, and communities to reflect upon the responsibility that our Founders undertook to establish this great nation,” said Senator McCain. “I owe America much more than she has ever owed me, and I believe Independence Day should be a reminder for all Americans to serve a cause greater than themselves.”
